GAC Group’s UPOWER Energy, BMSer team up on power battery reuse

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 25, UPOWER Energy Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. ("UPOWER Energy"), a subsidiary of GAC Group, and BMSer Technology Co., Ltd. ("BMSer"), a leading third-party provider of new energy BMS products and application solutions, signed a strategic cooperation framework agreement in Hangzhou. This agreement establishes a regular communication mechanism between the two parties, laying a solid foundation for future business collaboration in the energy sector.

Since 2020, UPOWER Energy and BMSer have engaged in ongoing business exchanges, exploring cooperative opportunities in battery management systems (BMS), integrated battery reuse, and energy storage systems. This history of collaboration has set a strong groundwork for the signing of the strategic framework.

Under the new strategic partnership, both companies will focus on the recovery and repurposing of power batteries in the energy storage sector. They will open up cooperation channels across the supply chain, share industry information and customer resources, and collaborate on product development and market promotion. Together, they aim to create demonstration projects for power battery reuse and prioritize growth in the commercial and industrial energy storage market to achieve rapid market expansion.

Zheng Heng, Vice General Manager of GAC Group and Chairman of UPOWER Energy, expressed hopes that the strategic framework will deepen and broaden cooperation between UPOWER Energy and BMSer. He emphasized the importance of enhancing team exchanges and focusing on technological innovation, product optimization, and market expansion, while consolidating their partnership in the domestic market and exploring opportunities for international business growth.
