Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 25, DreamSmart Group (formerly Xingji Meizu) officially launched the Z10 STARBUFF gaming edition vehicle model, which is developed in collaboration with Lynk & Co, at the DreamSmart product launch event. Coming with two variants, the Z10 STARBUFF is priced at 242,800 yuan and 329,800 yuan, respectively, with limited-time promotional prices of 236,800 yuan and 318,800 yuan.

As an affiliated company of Geely, DreamSmart Group has made strides in integrating smart technology with automotive innovations. Following Geely's acquisition of a 79% stake in smartphone maker Meizu in 2022, DreamSmart Group was formed through the merger of Xingji Shidai and Meizu. The group has since developed Flyme Auto, a smart cockpit system now used by over 200,000 car owners across 14 vehicle models. This system was recently upgraded to Flyme AIOS, incorporating over 100 AI-driven features.

DreamSmart’s first automotive project, the Z10 STARBUFF, targets the gaming enthusiast market and was co-developed with Lynk & Co. It boasts the world’s first Flyme Auto gaming cockpit, supporting both AAA console and PC gaming. The vehicle is powered by the ECARX’s Makalu computing platform, AMD V2000A desktop-level chips, RX6600M graphics, and a Samsung OLED high-refresh display. Additionally, it features a 1TB solid-state drive and 5G network connectivity.

The cockpit is optimized for gamers, offering custom slots for keyboards, mice, headphones, and a foldable desk. With Flyme Auto’s dedicated gaming mode, users can instantly adjust seats, lighting, and climate settings for the perfect gaming experience. The Harman Kardon 23-speaker audio system further enhances immersion. The Z10 STARBUFF will be available through both DreamSmart and Lynk & Co’s sales channels, with deliveries starting in November 2024.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
