Battery cell prices for energy storage remain stable, with future demand continuing to improve.

This week, energy storage battery cell prices temporarily held steady. With the fourth-quarter peak season approaching, the demand for energy storage battery cells gradually increased, and production and sales continued to grow. Cost side, influenced by the rebound in lithium chemical prices, as of last Friday, SMM calculated the theoretical cost of 280Ah LFP energy storage battery cells to have slightly increased to 0.311 yuan/Wh. Due to the short-term rise in theoretical battery cell costs and the recent favorable demand from end-users, battery cell manufacturers maintained a low willingness to cut offers this week. Looking ahead, the price of 280Ah battery cells, being close to the cost line and with current market inventory at a relatively safe level, might remain stable in the short term; the 314Ah battery cells, with theoretical costs lower than the 280Ah cells, might see further price declines as capacity and maturity improve; the 50Ah and 100Ah battery cells were expected to remain stable in the short term without significant changes in supply, demand, or costs.
