Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 25, Leapmotor revealed the first official camouflage images of the B10, the debut globally-oriented model from its B platform, marking a major step in the company’s global expansion strategy.

The Leapmotor B10 is a compact (A-segment) SUV, similar in size to the BMW X1. The front of the vehicle features a sleek, full-width headlight design, with sharp lines that give the vehicle a youthful and dynamic appearance.

From the side, the B10 showcases a pronounced waistline and a low-slung stance, adding a sporty edge to the design. The rear is equipped with a more fluid spoiler, while the C-pillar and front design share similarities with the Maserati Levante, sparking speculation that the design may have been influenced by Maserati, given Leapmotor's collaboration with Stellantis.

Although detailed information about the B10's powertrain has yet to be revealed, Leapmotor had previously announced that the model will make its official debut at the Paris Motor Show 2024 on October 14.

The B platform is central to Leapmotor’s global strategy and is built on the Leap 3.5 technology architecture, aimed at delivering cutting-edge smart technologies to younger consumers. Leapmotor plans to launch several B platform-based models by 2025, with pricing ranging between 100,000 yuan and 150,000 yuan.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
