Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 24, Joyson Safety Systems, automotive safety arm of Joyson Electronics, signed a global strategic cooperation agreement with GAC AION in Guangzhou, signaling a deepening collaboration between the two companies, according to a post on Joyson Electronics' WeChat account.

The partnership aims to leverage their respective strengths for mutual growth and to facilitate GAC AION's global expansion. As one of the few Chinese automotive parts suppliers with an all-round global footprint, Joyson Electronics is utilizing its first-mover advantage to empower Chinese automakers as they venture into international markets.

This agreement marks a new milestone in their partnership, elevating cooperation to a higher level. Joyson Safety Systems, which operates in 25 countries and regions, will offer localized, integrated production and research services to support GAC AION's accelerated global market deployment.

GAC AION, in recent years, has been accelerating its international brand expansion. Over the next 1-2 years, the company plans to establish seven major production and sales bases across Europe, South America, Africa, the Middle East, and East Asia, achieving a fully integrated global R&D, production, and sales model. Throughout this process, Joyson Safety Systems' extensive network of R&D and production facilities will provide crucial support for GAC AION's global ambitions.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
