On September 23, Black Sesame Technologies and Dongfeng Motor signed a new technical cooperation agreement.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 23, Black Sesame Technologies and Dongfeng Motor signed a new technical cooperation agreement. Based on their past collaborations, the two companies will work together on smart driving and perception algorithms, cross-domain computing platforms, vehicle-road-cloud integration, and next-generation computing power platforms.

Black Sesame’s A1000 chip will play a key role in their cooperation. The chip has been widely adopted for advanced smart driving and parking solutions. The partnership aims to accelerate the implementation of intelligent driving functions across various vehicle models, with Black Sesame providing perception algorithm support to Dongfeng Motor for its smart driving technology.

On the other hand, Black Sesame’s Wudang cross-domain computing chip will be used to meet the high-level intelligent driving and cross-domain integration needs of Dongfeng Motor’s vehicle models. By integrating multiple controllers and chips into a single solution, the platform will improve cost efficiency while supporting smart cockpit functions, NOA (Navigation-on-Autopilot), memory parking, and vehicle data exchange.

In the vehicle-road-cloud integration sector, Black Sesame Technologies has developed full-stack capabilities based on its A1000 chip. It is one of the few suppliers in China capable of delivering dual-end perception solutions for both vehicles and roads. The company has already implemented solutions in multiple cities, covering holographic road networks, intersections, and expressways. Black Sesame Technologies and Dongfeng Motor will combine resources to further develop integrated vehicle-road-cloud solutions.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
