[A Joint Notice from Ten Departments Urges Careful Implementation of "Several Measures to Accelerate the Improvement of Transportation Services and Safety Assurance Capabilities for New Energy Vehicle Power Lithium Batteries"] According to the "Several Measures," by 2027, efforts will be made to further unblock bottlenecks in the transportation of power lithium batteries, steadily improve transportation efficiency, further optimize the overall transportation structure, significantly enhance the level of transportation safety assurance, and ensure the safety and stability of the supply chain for new energy vehicles and power lithium batteries. The "Several Measures" clearly state that the safety supervision at the source of power lithium batteries must be strengthened. The revision of the "Safety Requirements for Traction Batteries for Electric Vehicles" will be accelerated to improve the safety technical requirements for power lithium batteries, clarify the thermal runaway safety performance indicators and testing methods for power lithium batteries, and elevate the inherent safety level of power lithium batteries.
