Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 19, XPENG's Chairman and CEO, He Xiaopeng, made an appearance at the Apsara Conference 2024, hosted by Alibaba Group, driving the all-new XPENG P7+. This marked the unofficial debut of the AI-powered car.

The XPENG P7+ is built from the ground up with advanced AI capabilities, allowing the vehicle to learn autonomously and anticipate driver and passenger needs, going beyond the standard artificial intelligence seen in current smart vehicle models. It features XPENG's new-generation AI Hawkeye Vision Solution, which uses a Lofic pixel architecture for superior adaptability in various lighting conditions and offers clearer, more accurate data collection than traditional cameras.

The P7+ also boasts a nationwide "door-to-door" and "parking spot-to-parking spot" intelligent driving system, unaffected by city layout or road conditions.

Inside, the vehicle integrates XPENG’s AI Tianji System, enabling the car to make decisions based on external sensor data, automatically adjusting climate control, seating, and other comfort features for passengers.

The P7+ features free advanced AI smart driving functions as standard, which will be available immediately upon market release. XPENG plans to release more details on the P7+ in the next few months.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
