Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 16, Chinese automaker JAC Group showcased its latest new energy commercial vehicles and cutting-edge technologies at the IAA TRANSPORTATION 2024, one of the world's largest and most influential commercial vehicle exhibitions, held in Hannover. During the event, JAC also launched its European strategy under the theme "For Greener Cities, NOW."

The company aims to create a new benchmark for last-mile green logistics by integrating local resources from energy suppliers, financial services, logistics companies, and more. This holistic approach to localization in Europe will focus on sustainability and building a smart, green ecosystem.

JAC Group specifically introduced three new electric vehicles tailored for the European market: the N42 EV and N75 EV all-electric light-duty trucks, and the T9 EV electric pickup. These vehicles are designed to cover a range of transportation needs, from intercity heavy loads to short-distance urban deliveries.

The N42 EV, equipped with a 77.28kWh lithium iron phosphate battery from CATL, offers a range of over 220 kilometers when fully loaded. It also features advanced Level-2 intelligent driving systems for enhanced safety and comfort.

The T9 EV is the first all-electric four-wheel-drive pickup under a Chinese auto brand to debut in Europe. Powered by an 88.02kWh CATL battery, it boasts a range of over 340 kilometers.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
