Sri Lanka Calls for Strengthened Oversight of Lead-Acid Electric Motorcycles - Sri Lanka's National Consumer Front (NCF) has recently urged the government and relevant departments to immediately halt the import of electric motorcycles powered by lead-acid batteries, citing the environmental hazards and insufficient durability of these vehicles. NCF leader Arsela Sampath stated that many imported electric motorcycles have led to numerous issues for consumers due to the non-durability of their lead-acid batteries, and called on the government to strictly regulate the import of such vehicles.
