Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 14, Geely Auto officially opened pre-sales for its all-new A0-segment pure electric sedan, the Geely Xingyuan (translating to "Star Wish"). The new model comes in five variants, with a pre-sale price range of 78,800 yuan to 107,800 yuan.

In terms of exterior design, the Geely Xingyuan features a fresh, rounded look. The closed-off front grille, typical of new energy vehicles, is complemented by an integrated headlight assembly with scythe-shaped LED daytime running lights. The sporty design is further enhanced by C-shaped air intakes on both sides of the front fascia.

The side profile of the vehicle adopts a minimalist design, with blacked-out window surrounds, wheel arches, and side skirts adding a fashionable touch. The semi-hidden door handles offer both convenience and functionality. Notably, the Geely Xingyuan can be customized with a two-tone body and various wheel designs. At the rear, the car maintains a rounded shape. Although it doesn't feature the trendy full-width tail lights, its uniquely shaped tail lamps are still highly recognizable when illuminated.

Inside, the Xingyuan adopts a simple, modern design, offering two interior color options: "Sky Mirror White" and "Fairy Green." A 14.6-inch floating central control screen paired with a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel gives the cabin a futuristic feel. The car is equipped with the Flyme Auto smart cockpit, which supports seamless smartphone integration via Flyme Link, HiCar, and Carlink, allowing up to 80% of smartphones to connect effortlessly. Additionally, the car offers 50W wind-cooled wireless fast charging for phones.

In terms of space, the Geely Xingyuan features a five-seat layout with a rear knee room of 890mm, ensuring comfort for passengers up to 1.8 meters tall. The vehicle includes 36 storage compartments throughout the cabin, a 70L front trunk, and a rear trunk with a capacity ranging from 375 liters to 1,320 liters. It also features a dual-drive anti-pinch power tailgate.

Powering the Xingyuan is an 11-in-1 smart electric drive system, with all variants featuring CATL's battery cells boasting an energy density of 185Wh/kg. Two driving ranges are available: 310km and 410km. The car supports fast charging at up to 1.66C, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in just 24.2 minutes. A 10-minute charge can add 120km of range.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
