On September 14, CATL and Shandong Heavy Industry Group held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Ningde, Fujian, according to a post on CATL's WeChat account.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 14, CATL and Shandong Heavy Industry Group held a strategic cooperation signing ceremony in Ningde, Fujian, according to a post on CATL's WeChat account.

Under the agreement, the two companies will collaborate across multiple areas, including heavy trucks, construction machinery, buses, logistics vehicles, and forklifts. Their partnership will focus on product development, ecosystem building, and innovation in business models, aiming to drive the green transition in the equipment manufacturing sector.

CATL highlighted that both companies will leverage their respective strengths in resources, technology, and quality to support one another in advancing new energy commercial vehicles and construction machinery. This cooperation will help accelerate the green transformation of the equipment manufacturing industry.

Shandong Heavy Industry Group is a globally influential multinational industrial equipment conglomerate, with a portfolio that includes well-known brands such as SINOTRUK, Shaanxi Heavy Duty Automobile, Weichai Lovol Intelligent Agricultural Technology, Shantui Construction Machinery, Zhongtong Bus, and KION Group. It leads the world in sales of heavy-duty engines, transmissions, and trucks. The group's extensive business scope includes power systems, commercial vehicles, agricultural equipment, construction machinery, smart logistics, and marine transport equipment.
