Beijing (Gasgoo)- Chinese automotive intelligence technology developer NavInfo recently received a designated order from Great Wall Motor to supply intelligent driving products based on Horizon Robotics’ smart computing solution. The selected vehicle models are  scheduled to enter mass production in the fourth quarter of 2024.

The final sales volume and value will depend on the sales performance of Great Wall Motor's models equipped with these advanced features, said NavInfo.

With Level-2 driver assistance systems becoming standard across the industry and higher-level intelligent driving systems gaining traction, NavInfo leverages its five core strengths—proven reliability, secure performance, cost-effectiveness, continuous technological innovation, and robust international reach—to secure increasing orders. These capabilities enable NavInfo to offer safe and convenient driving experiences to users.

As a new type of Tier-1 supplier, NavInfo is focusing on the automotive intelligence sector, transitioning from a product provider to a solution provider with a strategy centered on intelligent driving.

In the first half of 2024, the company reported total revenue of 1.667 billion yuan, marking an 11.08% year-on-year increase. NavInfo's intelligent driving business segment demonstrated exceptional performance, generating 124 million yuan in semi-annual revenue with a gross profit margin up by 20.77% compared to the same period last year.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
