Beijing (Gasgoo)- Ultrasonic radar chip company Youhang Technology recently completed a Pre-A+ round of strategic financing worth tens of millions of yuan, led by a fund backed by 3PEAK.

The funds will be primarily used for automotive-grade validation testing and mass production of the company’s AK1 and AK2 ultrasonic sensor chips, as well as automotive light and rain sensor chips.

Founded in 2021, Youhang Technology specializes in automotive sensor chips and components as a secondary supplier. The core team consists of industry veterans with over a decade of experience in the automotive supply chain and chip development. The company provides Tier 1 suppliers with products including ultrasonic probe chips, ultrasonic radar chips, light and rain sensor chips, micro-collision sensor chips, and control chips for chassis-by-wire systems.

Youhang Technology received angel investment in its founding year and secured a Pre-A round of funding in October last year.

The company’s ultrasonic radar probe products are already integrated into dozens of vehicle models from leading Chinese automakers through Tier 1 partnerships. The AK2 chip has passed existing customer tests and is expected to begin small-scale mass production and deployment in the first quarter of 2025, alongside other sensor chips, such as the light and rain sensors, slated for mass delivery in the first quarter of next year.

Currently, Youhang Technology operates six fully automated ultrasonic probe production lines, delivering 15 million probes in the first half of this year and aiming to reach 30 million units by year-end.
