Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 9, 2024, Chinese automotive power battery system provider REPT BATTERO established its North American branch in Irvine, California, marking a significant step in the company’s global expansion following the opening of its European subsidiary in 2023.

The company has also set up a Southeast Asian subsidiary to conduct market research and exploration in the region.

The U.S. energy storage market has seen rapid growth, driven by the expansion of renewable energy, advancements in lithium technology, supportive policies, and increasing market demand, making it one of the most dynamic energy storage markets worldwide.

REPT BATTERO is committed to providing safe and efficient energy storage solutions through innovative technologies, high-quality products, and comprehensive services. In the first half of this year, REPT BATTERO signed a framework agreement with POWIN, a globally recognized energy storage manufacturer, for the supply of 12GWh of energy storage batteries. Additionally, in 2023, REPT BATTERO partnered with U.S. energy storage technology developer Energy Vault, signing a 10GWh supply agreement for a liquid-cooled energy storage battery system.

The establishment of the North American subsidiary will enable REPT BATTERO to better address local customer needs with tailored solutions and enhanced service experiences. The subsidiary aims to build closer relationships with local partners to accelerate the transition to green energy globally.

Looking ahead, REPT BATTERO plans to deepen its global strategy by setting up manufacturing plants in Southeast Asia, Europe, and South America, further expanding its international business footprint.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
