On September 10, JI YUE, the automotive robot (robocar) brand co-backed by Geely and Baidu, officially put its second mass-produced model, the JI YUE 07 (also known as ROBOCAR 07), onto the market.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 10, JI YUE, the automotive robot (robocar) brand co-backed by Geely and Baidu, officially put its second mass-produced model, the JI YUE 07 (also known as ROBOCAR 07), onto the market, offering three variants priced between 209,900 yuan and 299,900 yuan. A limited-time discount of 10,000 yuan is also available, bringing the price down to 199,900 yuan to 289,900 yuan.

The JI YUE 07 continues the brand's futuristic design language, featuring a closed-off front grille, a striking light bar that spans the width of the front, and sharp headlamp units for a bold visual impact. One of its standout design elements is the largest clam-style hood on a mass-produced vehicle globally. It also includes AI-powered pixel headlights and voice-activated features for both the interior and exterior. The car boasts a remarkable drag coefficient of just 0.198Cd and comes in six color options: Deep Space Black, Space Silver, Aurora Green, Galaxy Purple, Tech White, and Titanium Crystal Gray.

The sleek side profile of the JI YUE 07 is enhanced by a sporty fastback design, with a gently sloping roofline that flows into the large, five-spoke, low-drag wheels. The car's aerodynamic performance is further optimized by the absence of traditional door handles, replaced with electric induction doors.

At the rear, the vehicle features trendy full-width LED taillights and a retractable sports spoiler.

Inside, the JI YUE 07 showcases a minimalist yet futuristic space technology-inspired cabin. It comes equipped with a massive 35.6-inch 3D integrated display, ambient lighting, a fifth-generation U-shaped steering wheel, and a retractable ROBO SOUND speaker system. The vehicle also includes the advanced Apollo ASD intelligent driving system.

The central console area lacks physical buttons, emphasizing its futuristic design, and is equipped with dual wireless charging pads. The JI YUE 07 adopts a five-seat layout, offering heating functions for both front and rear seats. Rear-seat passengers also benefit from a dedicated LCD screen that controls climate and multimedia functions.

In terms of power, the JI YUE 07 offers both single-motor and dual-motor options. The entry-level version operates on a 400V architecture with a single motor generating 200 kW of power, while the high-spec version features an 800V architecture and dual motors with a combined power output of 530 kW. Battery pack options include 71.4 kWh, 93.4 kWh, and 100 kWh capacity, providing ranges of 660 km, 770 km, and 880 km, respectively.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
