Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 10, ONTIME, the mobility service platform backed by GAC Group, obtained the qualification for demonstration applications (operations) of intelligent connected vehicles in the Hengqin Guangdong-Macao In-Depth Cooperation Zone.

This marks the official launch of ONTIME’s mixed commercial operations of human-driven ride-hailing and autonomous Robotaxi services in Hengqin.

Users can now book rides through the ONTIME app, where the platform intelligently matches users with either human-driven vehicles or autonomous Robotaxis based on factors such as wait time and distance. Additionally, users can directly order Robotaxi services via the "Autonomous Driving" option on the ONTIME app or WeChat mini program, with ONTIME dispatching its Robotaxi fleet to provide the service.

ONTIME began developing and commercializing its Robotaxi operations in 2021, independently creating an open Robotaxi operation technology platform. As of December 31, 2023, ONTIME's Robotaxi fleet had grown to 281 vehicles, making it the largest among Chinese ride-hailing platforms. The Robotaxi service has accumulated 20,080 hours of operation, covered 545 pick-up/drop-off spots, and completed 450,699 kilometers of safe trial operations.

ONTIME's Robotaxi services are now available in Nansha, Qianhai, and Hengqin areas, three major Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao cooperation platforms. The successful commercial operation in Hengqin demonstrates ONTIME's commitment to advancing Robotaxi services in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, supporting the region's smart transportation development and high-quality growth.
