Auto designer Ramon Ginah joins Dongfeng Motor

Dongfeng Motor announced on September 9 that automotive designer Ramon Ginah has joined the company as design director at its Shanghai design center.

Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Motor announced on September 9 that automotive designer Ramon Ginah has joined the company as design director at its Shanghai design center.

Ginah brings 25 years of experience in the automotive industry, having previously worked with renowned brands such as Maserati, Ferrari, Great Wall Motor, and XPENG.

Ginah spent over a decade at Alfa Romeo, where he contributed to key projects including the Alfa Romeo 4C Concept, Giulietta, Giulia, and the New Duetto. His extensive experience in European and Chinese automotive design is expected to enhance Dongfeng Motor's design capabilities.

You Zheng, Deputy General Manager of Dongfeng Motor Corporation, recently disclosed that the company will reach the milestone of producing its 60 millionth vehicle in September. Moreover, sales of new energy vehicle under Dongfeng Motor’s wholly-owned brands are projected to approach 900,000 units this year, with a target of reaching one million units annually by next year.

In the first eight months of this year, Dongfeng Motor sold a total of 1,198,249 vehicles, representing a 7.14% dip year-on-year. However, the automaker’s new energy vehicle sales jumped 21.2% year on year to 220,529 vehicles.
