Beijing (Gasgoo)- The first batch of the mass-produced AVATR 07 vehicles rolled off the production line at Changan Auto's digital smart factory in Chongqing city on September 9 and are expected to arrive in showrooms by mid-September, according to a post on the WeChat account of AVATR, the premium new energy vehicle brand jointly developed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL.

AVATR also revealed that the AVATR 07 will officially hit the market on September 26.

The AVATR 07 was officially launched at the end of August during the Chengdu Motor Show, featuring the brand’s signature design language. Positioned as an entry-level model under the brand, the AVATR 07 will be available in both range-extended (REEV) and battery-electric versions (BEV).

The AVATR 07 measures 4,825 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,620 mm (or 1,610 mm depending on configuration) in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm.

The interior emphasizes luxury, with top-spec versions boasting a four-screen wraparound cockpit, which includes a central display, a 35.4-inch 4K remote screen, and dual electronic side mirror screens, all integrated with Huawei's HarmonyOS 4.0 ecosystem. The vehicle will also feature Huawei's latest driver assistance technology, with full specifications to be revealed at the market launch event.

The AVATR 07 REEV uses the automaker’s Kunlun range extender technology, pairing a 1.5T engine with an electric motor and is available in both two-wheel and four-wheel drive, offering CLTC-rated battery-powered ranges of 230 km and 220 km, respectively.

The AVATR 07 BEV also offers two-wheel and four-wheel drive options, both equipped with CATL's lithium iron phosphate battery packs, delivering ranges of 650 km and 610 km, respectively.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
