The partnership will focus on building a comprehensive charging and battery swapping network, developing virtual power plants, and creating zero-carbon demonstration stations.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 5, NIO Power, the mobile internet-based power solution provider under NIO, signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Suzhou Energy Development Group ("Suzhou Energy Group") at the Suzhou High-Quality New Energy Industry Development Conference. The partnership will focus on building a comprehensive charging and battery swapping network, developing virtual power plants, and creating "zero-carbon" demonstration stations, all aimed at advancing China's carbon neutrality and peak carbon goals.

Earlier that day, NIO Power also announced a separate agreement with MHERO Technology, an off-roader maker under Dongfeng Motor. Through the cooperation, NIO Power's extensive charging network will now be accessible to MHERO vehicle users, offering them a nationwide network of convenient and efficient charging services.

According to the agreement, since September 5, MHERO users can locate and use NIO Power's charging stations through the MHERO app and in-car systems, enhancing their charging experience with improved convenience and efficiency.

NIO Power offers a fully integrated charging service, enabling users to search for charging stations, view real-time information such as location, price, and availability, and seamlessly pay for services through the NIO app, NIO Power app, or NIO's in-car systems. The network is designed for ease of use, featuring lightweight charging cables for simple, one-handed operation, and supports plug-and-charge functionality with automatic payment options.

NIO Power has already established a nationwide charging network across China, which is open to the entire industry, with more than 80% of its energy services now provided to non-NIO users. As of September 5, NIO Power has built 2,505 battery swapping stations, 3,971 charging stations, and 23,212 charging piles across the country. The daily availability rate of its charging piles exceeds 99%, positioning NIO Power as a leader in the sector.
