On September 5, Lynk & Co officially put its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, the Lynk & Co Z10, onto the market.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On September 5, Lynk & Co officially put its first battery electric vehicle (BEV) model, the Lynk & Co Z10, onto the market. The model is available in five variants, priced between 202,800 yuan and 299,800 yuan, with a limited-time promotional offer of 196,800 yuan to 288,800 yuan.

The Lynk & Co Z10, positioned as a mid-to-large all-electric sedan, shares its platform with the ZEEKR 001. It offers both 400V and 800V versions, with a maximum range of up to 806 kilometers. Deliveries of the Z10 will begin in September 2024.

In terms of design, the Lynk & Co Z10 closely follows the styling of the brand's "The Next Day" concept. It features vertically-aligned daytime running lights in the signature family style, a central light bar, and RGB lighting capable of emitting 256 colors for a visually striking experience. The car will be available in five exterior colors: Midnight Black, Fluid Grey, Dawn Blue, Sunrise Red, and Solar Silver.

The rear of the Lynk & Co Z10 adopts a coupe-like design but retains a traditional trunk lid rather than a hatchback. It includes an optional electric spoiler, priced at 5,000 yuan but available for free for a limited time. The sporty look is further accentuated by the car's full-width taillights and lower rear design.

Inside, the Lynk & Co Z10 features a sleek 12.3:1 widescreen digital instrument cluster, a dual-spoke multifunctional steering wheel, and a head-up display (HUD). The central console is equipped with a 15.4-inch floating multimedia display running the LYNK Flyme Auto system, powered by the AMD V2000A chip, which boasts 1.8 times the performance of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295 chip. The interior is offered in two color themes: Dawn and Morning Light. The car also comes with advanced Highway NOA (Navigate on Autopilot), operational across the country from day one.

The seats are designed for comfort, with both front and rear seats offering heating, ventilation, and massage functions. The front seats are adjustable from 87 to 159 degrees. Additionally, the car is fitted with a Harman Kardon sound system featuring 23 speakers and a 1,600W amplifier, along with WANOS panoramic sound technology. Valued at 1,000 yuan, this feature is free until October 31.

The Lynk & Co Z10 will be available with three powertrain options: a single rear motor version with 200kW or 310kW, and a dual-motor all-wheel-drive version with a 270kW front motor and a 310kW rear motor. Battery options include 71kWh and 95kWh capacities, offering driving ranges of 602km, 702km, 766km, and 806km, depending on the configuration. The car also comes equipped with silicon carbide motors, dual-chamber air suspension, and a CDC (continuous damping control) system for enhanced driving dynamics.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
