China's Scientists Achieve New Breakthrough in All-Solid-State Battery Materials" It is learned from the Qingdao Institute of Biomass Energy and Bioprocess Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, that the Advanced Energy Storage Materials and Technology Research Group led by Researcher Wu Jianfei from the institute has developed a novel lithium sulfide cathode material for all-solid-state lithium-sulfur batteries, achieving an energy density exceeding 600 Wh/kg. This research offers new methods and ideas for the development of all-solid-state batteries with high energy density. Compared with currently commercialized lithium-ion batteries, its energy density is more than double, and the cost is lower. The relevant research results have been published in the international academic journal "Small".
