Beijing (Gasgoo)- On September 2, DEEPAL, the new energy vehicle brand under Dongfeng Motor, inked a strategic partnership with UAE-based automotive dealer group AL TAYER MOTORS to bring DEEPAL’s product lineup to the UAE market.

This collaboration marks a significant step in DEEPAL’s commitment to localizing its presence in the Middle East.

Earlier this year in April, DEEPAL showcased models like the DEEPAL S7 at the Mobility Live Middle East. In late August, Changan Automobile held its Middle East and Africa launch event in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, where it displayed several DEEPAL models, including the DEEPAL S07 and DEEPAL G318.

DEEPAL’s global expansion now spans Southeast Asia, Latin America, and the Middle East and Africa, with successful market entries in countries such as Thailand, Nepal, Mexico, and Saudi Arabia. In July, the DEEPAL S07 launched for pre-sale in Mexico, offering both all-electric and range-extended versions, with ranges of 620 kilometers and 1,200 kilometers, respectively.

Additionally, in November last year, DEEPAL introduced the S07 and L07 models in Thailand, with the S07 featuring a design consistent with the S7 but adapted for right-hand drive to suit overseas markets.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
