BYD recently opened its first showroom in Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname, marking its foray into the Surinamese market, the Chinese automaker announced on Sept. 2 via its WeChat account.

At the event, BYD introduces four popular models to local customers: the BYD DOLPHIN, SEAL, YUAN PLUS, and SONG PLUS. Each model offers a range of electric vehicle options, boasting impressive features such as excellent range capabilities and smart driving experiences, with driving ranges varying from 400 to 1,100 kilometers. These vehicles cater to the diverse needs of Surinamese consumers looking for efficient and eco-friendly transportation solutions.

During the event, BYD's Sales Manager for the Suriname market, from the Americas Automotive Sales Division, emphasized the company's commitment to expanding in Suriname. "BYD places great importance on its development in the Surinamese market. Through our advanced technology and exceptional products, we aim to offer consumers greener and smarter mobility choices," the manager stated.

BYD highlighted that the successful market entry is a result of close collaboration with local partners. The company has teamed up with major local dealerships, financial institutions like Finabank, and insurance company Assuria to offer flexible financing options and comprehensive insurance services. These partnerships also ensure that customers receive a high standard of after-sales service.
