Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 30, Greater Bay Technology, a fast charging technology developer internally incubated by GAC Group, and UPower Energy Technology (Guangzhou) Co., Ltd. (UPower Energy), which is wholly-owned by GAC Group, held a grand signing ceremony, marking the formal establishment of a long-term, mutually beneficial strategic partnership, according to a post on Greater Bay Technology's WeChat account.

According to the strategic cooperation framework, the partnership will focus on promoting an innovative "battery bank" model, with UPower Energy providing customized battery services for Greater Bay Technology. This collaboration is expected to lead the industry toward smarter and more efficient energy solutions. The two companies will work together to push for big data-driven intelligent upgrades, co-developing models to enhance battery intelligence, and utilizing precise data to support the smart development of the industry.

The partnership also extends to building a comprehensive energy ecosystem, including the construction of energy supplementation infrastructure and photovoltaic energy storage, aimed at promoting the efficient use of green energy. Additionally, the collaboration will cover the full lifecycle management of batteries, ensuring safety and performance while advancing the recycling of used batteries, thereby contributing to a closed-loop and sustainable industry chain.

Mr. Pei Feng, President of Greater Bay Technology, highlighted that through deep cooperation in big data and intelligent technology, the two companies could unlock more potential value and drive the new energy vehicle industry toward greater intelligence and precision.

Mr. Wang Ke, General Manager of UPower Energy, emphasized that UPower Energy could not only provide Greater Bay Technology with robust support in battery asset operations but also create more opportunities for collaboration in energy storage and renewable energy operations. He confidently stated that through complementary strengths, both companies are poised to achieve new breakthroughs in their respective fields and reach new heights together.

[SMM Daily Review: Spot Lithium Carbonate Prices Dropped Slightly on March 6] The SMM battery-grade lithium carbonate index price dropped slightly from the previous working day. Futures performance showed that the most-traded contract fluctuated within the range of 151,100-160,900 yuan/mt throughout the day, and open interest increased by about 1,500 lots from the previous trading day. In terms of actual transactions, upstream lithium chemical plants remained weak in their willingness to sell spot orders, with strong sentiment to hold back sales and hold prices firm. Most downstream enterprises took a cautious purchasing stance, mainly staying on the sidelines. A small number of material plants bought the dip when prices were relatively low. Overall, although market inquiries increased, actual transactions remained somewhat sluggish.
