Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 30, 2024, Changan Automobile’s new energy vehicle brand DEEPAL debuted its new mid-sized sedan, the DEEPAL L07, at the Chengdu Motor Show. As the second sedan offering from DEEPAL, the L07 integrates DEEPAL's Super Range Extending technology and Huawei’s Qiankun smart driving system. The model is set to hit the market in September.

The DEEPAL L07 maintains the brand’s signature design language, featuring a large intelligent electric spoiler with an illuminated logo. The active spoiler, measuring 1,329mm by 175mm, offers an impressive wind-facing surface area of 0.256 square meters. It automatically deploys at speeds of 90 km/h and above, and at 170 km/h, provides 145N of downforce, enhancing vehicle stability and grip.

The L07's exterior includes DEEPAL's signature LED daytime running lights, full-width LED taillights, frameless doors, electric hidden door handles, an electric hatchback, and a 1.9㎡ Low-E panoramic sunroof—features designed to appeal to younger consumers. The sedan measures 4,875mm in length, 1,890mm in width, and has a 2,900mm wheelbase.

Inside, the L07 is equipped with a 15.6-inch ultra-high-definition screen powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip, ensuring rapid, intelligent human-machine interaction. The interior also features a 55-inch AR-HUD (augmented reality head-up display) system.

Powering the L07 is the new Force super drive 2.0, achieving a peak efficiency of 95% with a maximum output of 190 kW and 320 Nm of peak torque, delivering robust performance and smooth acceleration. The vehicle accelerates from 0-50 km/h in just 2.6 seconds and reaches 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds. Powered-by DEEPAL's Super Range Extending technology, the L07 achieves a remarkable CLTC-rated fuel consumption rate of just 3.94L/100km, setting a new standard for mid-size sedans. Additionally, the L07 supports 3C fast charging and offers a maximum battery-powered range of up to 300 km in range-extended mode.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
