According to SMM, data from Chile's National Statistics Institute shows that Chile's copper production in July 2024 increased by approximately 2% year-on-year, reaching 443,633 tonnes, although there was a slight decline of 2% month-on-month. In the previous months, Chile's copper production changes were limited. In August, there were reports of strike disruptions in some copper mines in Chile, triggering market concerns about Chile's production. However, the risk of strikes was subsequently largely resolved.
