Penoles: The Minera Tizapa Mine in Mexico Halts Operations Indefinitely Due to a Strike. Industrias Penoles announced last Friday that its Minera Tizapa division in the Mexican state has halted operations indefinitely due to a strike called by the National Union of Mineworkers. According to Penoles' historical production data, this mining division accounts for 10.3% of the lead metal production in Penoles' mining projects in 2023. In 2023, the mine produced a total of approximately 8,796 metal tons of lead and 5.86 million ounces of silver.
