Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 28, JI YUE, the automotive robot brand co-backed by Baidu and Geely, announced the release of its new V2.0 software upgrade, set to debut in the JI YUE 07 model, which started pre-sales at the same time with price of 215,900 yuan. The vehicle will officially hit the market on September 10.

The highlight of this software upgrade is the transition from PPA (Point-to-Point Autopilot) intelligent driving to ASD (Apollo Self Driving), which signals JI YUE’s venture into the era of end-to-end large models for advanced vision-based smart driving.

With the new upgrade, JI YUE becomes the world’s first intelligent vehicle brand to implement Baidu's Apollo ADFM L4 autonomous driving large model, making it the only brand in China and one of two globally to achieve this level of high-level visual-only autonomous driving capability.

The ASD system introduces 106 new features and upgrades, including navigation assistance, valet parking, advanced lane keeping, and enhanced active safety. It enables free movement from point A to point B, with improvements in forward AEB capabilities to maximize safety response time and minimize impact. The APA automatic parking feature now supports complex parking scenarios, such as perpendicular, parallel, and angled spaces, even under low-light and tight conditions, doubling the success rate.

Additionally, JI YUE introduced a native AI large-model-powered cockpit. SIMO, JI YUE's voice assistant, now integrates Baidu's ERNIE Bot and is rebuilt with a new AI architecture that enhances cloud-end collaboration for perception, understanding, and decision-making capabilities.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
