Chalco Guizhou Branch's Alloying Business Department Achieves Breakthrough in 7020 Aluminum Alloy Production, Fulfilling Initial Demand

Published: Aug 29, 2024 13:52
Recently, the Alloying Business Department of Chalco Guizhou Branch has successfully developed a 7020 aluminum alloy product with high strength and excellent corrosion resistance in the round ingot process. This product belongs to the 7xxx series aluminum alloy, containing elements such as aluminum, zinc, magnesium, and copper. Renowned for its superior mechanical properties and good corrosion resistance, the 7020 aluminum alloy is particularly suitable for applications requiring high load-bearing capacity and good fatigue strength. After multiple meetings and scheme optimizations, the Alloying Business Department successfully solved the production issues of 7020 aluminum alloy round ingots and completed the initial trial production. It has now fulfilled the initial production demand of 200 tons for customers. In the future, the department will continue to pay attention to customer feedback, accumulate experience, expand more 7xxx series aluminum alloy products, and strive for greater breakthroughs. This achievement has laid a solid foundation for the development of aluminum alloy products in the Alloying Business Department.
