[SMM Daily Review of Rebar: Strong Rebound on Trading Boards, Has the "Summer" of Construction Materials Finally Arrived?] The trading boards saw a significant rebound last night and today, with a surge of 2.64%, closing at 3264. In the spot market, influenced by the trading boards, sentiment among traders across regions has improved markedly, and speculative sentiment is fiery, with intraday gains ranging from 20 to 40 yuan/ton, and overall transaction preferences are favorable. In terms of supply, a large number of long and short-process steel plants underwent maintenance and shutdown in the early stages, leading to a continuous decline in spot resource inventories and continuous improvement in supply-demand relations, laying a realistic foundation for this round of rebound. Looking ahead, coke prices continue to fall, providing weaker cost support; according to research, most steel plants undergoing maintenance plan to resume production successively in early September, and some steel plants have shown signs of converting iron water production to rebar, indicating that subsequent output may rebound. Meanwhile, the extent of improvement in downstream funds is limited, making it difficult for the traditional peak seasons of September and October to replicate the繁荣 of previous years. The rebound height of construction materials may be suppressed by these factors. However, there is still room for speculation regarding the Federal Reserve's interest rate cuts, and it is expected that steel prices may experience a relatively strong and volatile performance in the following period.
