The labor union of Lundin Mining's Caserones copper mine in Chile accepted the new wage proposal on Saturday, Chilean time, marking the end of the strike that had lasted for nearly two weeks. The terms of the new wage proposal include a 2.5% wage adjustment, a bonus of approximately USD 19,000 per worker, and a soft loan of USD 3,300 per person. SMM estimates that Caserones copper mine will produce 120,000 metric tons of copper in 2024.
