All parties signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop intelligent solutions for humanoid robots.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 22, at the 2024 World Robot Conference, a significant collaboration was announced between the Beijing Embodied Intelligence Robotics Innovation Center ("Innovation Center"), Audi FAW NEV Company ("Audi FAW"), and UBTECH Robotics ("UBTECH"), a Chinese humanoid robots and smart service robots company, according to a post on UBTECH's WeChat account.

The three parties signed a cooperation agreement to jointly develop intelligent solutions for humanoid robots. These robots will be introduced to automotive production lines, taking on roles such as intelligent material handling, quality inspection, and process material operations. The partnership aims to advance the large-scale application of humanoid robots in automotive factories.

In this collaboration, the Innovation Center will provide industry-wide common technologies and a universal platform for humanoid robots. Audi FAW will offer application scenarios within its globally recognized smart automotive factories. UBTECH, with its leading full-stack humanoid robot technology and expertise in automotive applications, will leverage its strengths alongside the resources of its partners. The joint effort will explore innovative uses of humanoid robots in automotive manufacturing, promoting the intelligent and digital transformation of the automotive industry for sustainable development.

During the 2024 World Robot Conference, UBTECH showcased the capabilities of its Walker S series humanoid robots in precision quality inspection of Audi RS5 tires. Thanks to breakthroughs in embodied intelligence technologies, the Walker S series can complete inspection processes within 60-80 seconds, seamlessly integrating into the current state-of-the-art automotive factory's "one car per minute" production pace.

According to UBTECH, while inspecting the front and rear tires of the Audi RS5, the Walker S series robots utilize their full-body cameras for millimeter-level bolt detection. The use of deep learning models allows for a bolt detection accuracy rate of over 99%. Inspection results are instantly fed back to local management systems and visually displayed, ensuring high-quality product delivery.

The Walker S series also demonstrated its capabilities in sorting and handling tasks during the conference. This marked the first public demonstration of UBTECH's "Humanoid Robot Industrial Solutions," which incorporates UBTECH's latest advancements in embodied intelligence. These include industry-leading domain-specific large model technology for industrial applications, computer vision perception, semantic VSLAM navigation, adaptive full-body motion control, multimodal human-robot interaction, dexterous operation, robot body structure design, and high-performance integrated jointsall key aspects of its full-stack humanoid robot technology.
