BYD announces foray into Pakistani passenger car market

On August 17, 2024, BYD made a grand entrance into the Pakistani passenger car market with a brand launch event at the Expo Centre Lahore.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 17, 2024, BYD made a grand entrance into the Pakistani passenger car market with a brand launch event at the Expo Centre Lahore. The event marked a significant milestone for BYD as it officially ventured into Pakistan's automotive sector.

Mr. Liu Xueliang, General Manager of BYD Asia-Pacific Automotive Sales Division, attended the launch and, together with local partner Mega Motor Company, unveiled three new energy vehicle models: the BYD SEALION 6, BYD SEAL, and BYD ATTO 3. 

In his address at the event, Liu Xueliang highlighted the importance of BYD's entry into Pakistan during a pivotal time for global sustainability efforts. "As the world transitions towards sustainable development, BYD is proud to be at the forefront of this historic wave. Our entry into the Pakistani market brings not only our latest products and technologies but also a broader green initiative and a vision for technological innovation. We firmly believe that BYD's new energy vehicles will play a crucial role in driving Pakistan—and indeed the world—towards a cleaner and more prosperous green future," Liu stated.

The event featured various interactive exhibitions and experience zones, including a "Charging Zone," a "Sustainability Zone," and a "Technology Zone," allowing attendees to gain an in-depth understanding of BYD's commitment to sustainability. Visitors had the opportunity to experience firsthand BYD's cutting-edge technologies, such as rapid charging, the DM-i Super Hybrid system, the e-Platform 3.0, and the Blade Battery. BYD said these exhibits not only showcased its technological prowess and innovative spirit but also emphasized the company’s relentless efforts to create a greener, more sustainable future for all.
