Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 21, AVATR, the premium new energy vehicle brand jointly developed by Changan Automobile, Huawei, and CATL, unveiled the highly anticipated AVATR 012 model, a limited-edition vehicle developed in collaboration with Kim Jones, creative director of both Dior Homme and Fendi womenswear.
The AVATR 012 is now available for presale at a price of 700,000 yuan, with only 700 units being produced globally.
The AVATR 012 retains the brand’s signature design language, featuring a distinctive liquid silver exterior. The front end is equipped with E-shaped split headlights and a muscular, streamlined lighting design, which exudes a futuristic aesthetic. The vehicle also includes active air intake grilles and three strategically placed LiDAR sensors, essential components for its advanced driving system.
Maintaining the same dimensions as the AVATR 12, the 012 measures 5,020mm in length, 1,999mm in width, and 1,469mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,020mm. The model is also fitted with exclusive 21-inch forged mirror wheels, contributing to its sleek profile.
Inside, the cabin inherits AVATR’s usual luxurious and tech-savvy ambiance, featuring a 35.4-inch 4K display and a 15.6-inch central control screen.
Powering the AVATR 012 is Huawei’s DriveONE high-voltage electric drive system. The model utilizes CATL’s Qilin 5C battery, enabling rapid charging with a peak current of 700A.
At the launch event, AVATR also revealed its future product plans. In addition to the AVATR 012, the AVATR 07 with dual powertrains, the AVATR 11 extended-range version, and the AVATR 12 extended-range version, the company will launch three new vehicle models within 2024. These include a new dual-power sedan, a five-seater model, and a six-seater model. Additionally, AVATR will adopt a new HI PLUS model in its ongoing collaboration with Huawei Yinwang.
