Beijing (Gasgoo)- Horizon Robotics recently announced that the cumulative shipment for its Journey series of in-vehicle intelligent computing solutions has surpassed 6 million sets, reflecting remarkable growth since its mass production began in 2020.

After hitting the 1-million-set production mark by the end of 2021, the Journey series has doubled its shipments annually, reaching 5 million sets by March 2024 and adding another million within just a few months. This rapid growth is driven by Horizon Robotics’ comprehensive product offerings, which cater to all levels of intelligent driving markets, and the increasing number of vehicles adopting their solutions.

To date, the Journey series has secured mass production partnerships with over 30 global automakers and brands, with more than 270 mass-produced vehicle models, 130 of which are already on the market.

In response to the evolving demands of intelligent driving, Horizon Robotics introduced the Journey 6 series in April 2024. The series includes six versions, designed for various intelligent driving scenarios, offering flexible computing resource configurations. With its scalable computing architecture and mature development platform, the Journey 6 allows automotive manufacturers and partners to significantly shorten development cycles, reduce costs, and accelerate mass production.

Horizon Robotics has already formed strategic partnerships with leading Tier-1 suppliers and software-hardware companies, including Bosch, PhiGent Robotics, and QCraft. Several mid-level intelligent driving solutions based on the Journey 6 have been adopted by top automakers, with mass production development now underway. The Journey 6 series has secured production projects with over 10 automakers and brands, with the first vehicles expected to be delivered by the end of 2024.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
