Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 19, BYD officially put the 2025 model of its Song PLUS EV onto the market, introducing three variants: the 520KM Luxury, 520KM Premium, and 605KM Flagship, which are priced between 149,800 yuan and 175,800 yuan.
As a refreshed version, the 2025 Song PLUS EV has seen upgrades in aesthetics, intelligence, and overall configuration. The entire lineup now comes standard with over 16 technological features.
The 2025 Song PLUS EV adopts an "ocean aesthetic" design language, giving the vehicle a more dynamic and stylish appearance. The front end features a closed-off grille, with sharply contoured LED headlights flanking the raised lines on the hood, enhancing the vehicle's distinctive look. Additionally, air intakes on both sides of the front bumper contribute to a sporty feel.
The side profile of the vehicle is sleek, with a slightly upward-sloping waistline that extends from the front to the rear, complemented by chrome accents and blacked-out elements, adding to its modern appeal. The car is also equipped with 19-inch dual-tone wind blade wheels. At the rear, the vehicle boasts a full-width LED taillight design, paired with an illuminated rear logo that offers high visibility when lit at night.
Inside, the 2025 Song PLUS EV features a wraparound cockpit design. The interior color scheme combines Dawn Crimson with Sandstone Beige, enhanced by a 31-color ambient lighting system, elevating the overall sense of luxury. The three-spoke multifunction steering wheel, coupled with a floating central control screen, further amplifies the vehicle's technological appeal. Notably, the entire range comes standard with the advanced DiLink 100 intelligent cockpit, which supports full-scene intelligent voice control, map desktop, integrated music, ONE ID, and three-finger global gesture recognition, among other features.
The 2025 Song PLUS EV is equipped with more than ten DiPilot intelligent driving assistance features, including Intelligent Navigation Control (ICC), Lane Departure Assist (LDA), Forward Collision Warning (FCW) & Automatic Emergency Braking (AEB), and Rear Cross-Traffic Braking (RCTB). The new model also offers a 50W wireless phone charger, heated steering wheel, and an integrated in-car ETC system.
All variants of the 2025 Song PLUS EV are powered by an eight-in-one powertrain, with core technologies such as a heat pump air conditioning system, new high-power Blade Battery, and direct cooling and heating for the battery. The vehicle's energy consumption is as low as 13.86 kWh per 100 kilometers, and the battery can be charged from 30% to 80% of its capacity in just 30 minutes. In terms of power, the vehicle offers two electric motor options: a 150 kW motor with a maximum torque of 310 Nm and a 160 kW motor with a maximum torque of 330 Nm. The vehicle is available with either a 71.8 kWh or 87.04 kWh battery pack, providing a CLTC range of 520 km and 605 km, respectively.
