Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 15, NIO's fresh sub-brand, ONVO, saw the first mass-produced unit of the ONVO L60, the brand's inaugural production model, roll off the assembly line at its F2 factory in Hefei city. The birth of the new car, marked with the official serial number "0000001," represented a significant milestone for the company.

The ONVO L60, positioned as a mid-sized all-electric SUV, has garnered widespread attention for its distinctive daytime running lights and taillight design, inspired by the concept of "The Road Upward." With an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.229 Cd at 120 km/h, the L60 model showcases exceptional aerodynamic performance.

Inside the cabin, the ONVO L60 is equipped with a 13-inch head-up display (HUD), a 17.2-inch 3K central control screen, and an 8-inch rear entertainment screen located at the end of the central armrest. The vehicle also features the newly developed ONVO OS system.

In terms of dimensions, the ONVO L60 measures 4,828 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,616 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,950 mm, making it larger than the Tesla Model Y and providing more spacious interior accommodations. The L60 will be available with three battery options, offering ranges of 555 km, 730 km, and over 1,000 km, catering to a variety of customer needs.

ONVO's CEO Mr. Ai Tiecheng previously disclosed that the L60 model is scheduled to hit the market in late September, with deliveries expected to begin within a week upon the market launch.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
