Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 14, Changan Auto announced that the fourth-generation CS75 PLUS SUV model has officially rolled off the production line at Changan’s smart factory in Hefei. The new model, which has undergone significant upgrades in exterior design, dimensions, interior, and powertrain, is expected to be released to the market in September. For reference, the current CS75 PLUS is priced between 117,900 yuan and 154,900 yuan.

The new CS75 PLUS features a fresh design, with a frameless front grille accented by a matrix pattern arranged in a V-shape, complementing the central Changan V emblem. The headlights have also been redesigned, incorporating three varying lengths of LED light strips, with an upper LED strip running across the front for a more refined and distinctive look.

Notable changes on the side include pop-up door handles and low-drag wheels, likely reducing the vehicle’s drag coefficient and improving fuel efficiency. The side profile also features prominent wheel arches and a more sculpted waistline.

In terms of dimensions, the new CS75 PLUS measures 4,770 mm in length, 1,910 mm in width, and 1,695 (or 1,705) mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. This marks an increase in length, width, and wheelbase compared to the current model, although the height has been slightly reduced.

Inside, the fourth-generation CS75 PLUS adopts a minimalist design, reminiscent of new energy vehicles. It includes a 37-inch integrated triple screen, hidden air vents, a two-spoke flat-bottom steering wheel, and a column-mounted gear shifter. Additional features include dual cup holders and a wireless charging pad.

The CS75 PLUS remains a key sales contributor for Changan Auto, with 118,087 units sold between January and July of this year, including 40,000 units delivered in January alone.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
