Beijing (Gasgoo)- Dongfeng Motor’s premium new energy vehicle brand, VOYAH, is set to launch the Global Edition of its all-electric Zhiyin SUV (name in Chinese pinyin) in mid-September to overseas markets, the automaker announced on August 13.
The Zhiyin, developed for the global market, will feature two distinct front-end designs to cater to diverse consumer tastes. The one-piece front design offers a clean and streamlined look, while the through-type front presents a more aggressive appearance. The family-style lighting design integrates the VOYAH emblem into the headlights. The through-type front is further enhanced by a star-pattern grille with 192 LED light units. At the rear, the vehicle boasts customizable OLED taillights, consisting of 33 individually controlled OLED units on both the upper and lower sections, creating unique light patterns.
The Zhiyin's design leverages the electric platform to maximize interior space, offering a spacious and comfortable cabin. With dimensions of 4,725mm long, 1,940mm wide, 1,645mm tall, and a wheelbase of 2,900mm, the Zhiyin provides a superior wheelbase-to-length ratio, with a utilization rate of 71%.
For performance and stability, the Zhiyin employs a unique dual-channel design, ensuring balanced air distribution and downforce, contributing to stable handling across various road conditions. The vehicle comes standard with 20-inch wheels, enhancing both handling and sporty aesthetics.
Inside, the Zhiyin draws inspiration from boundaryless design, creating a versatile and tech-forward environment. The straight-wing dashboard design, inspired by aviation, offers intuitive control and display, improving ease of use during driving. The OLED curved sliding screen is visually striking, responsive, and can slide to accommodate different user needs. Additional features such as an electric folding table and AR-HUD enhance practicality, while the use of eco-friendly materials ensures a balance of health and luxury. The 128-color ambient lighting system gently transitions and can be adjusted to match the user’s mood.
