NETA Auto introduced three of its flagship models to the Brazilian market—the NETA AYA, NETA X, and NETA GT—all of which are among the brand's hotter-selling vehicles.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On August 8, Chinese new energy vehicle (NEV) maker NETA Auto made a significant debut in São Paulo, Brazil, becoming the first Chinese NEV startup to open a store and officially launch products in the Brazilian market. The company introduced three of its flagship models to the Brazilian market—the NETA AYA, NETA X, and NETA GT—all of which are the brand's hotter-selling vehicles.

Mr. Fang Yunzhou, Co-Founder and Chairman of NETA Auto, emphasized the strategic importance of Brazil in the company's global expansion plans, stating, "As the sixth-largest automobile market in the world, Brazil is an indispensable part of our globalization strategy. We are confident that, with Brazil's tremendous potential and demand in the global electrification process, NETA Auto will shine even brighter in this vibrant land."

NETA Auto had already established a subsidiary in Brazil in July, aiming to meet the diverse needs of local consumers by offering high-quality electric vehicles. The company also plans to accelerate the opening of more flagship stores in the region.

By the end of August, two NETA Auto stores are expected to open in São Paulo and Brasília, with a total of 15 dealerships planned to cover broader regions of Brazil by the end of 2024. Additionally, NETA Auto is exploring opportunities for KD (knock-down) assembly partnerships and is preparing to establish a KD factory in Brazil.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
