[LG Energy Solution Plans to Mass-produce High-voltage Medium-nickel NCM Batteries by 2025] South Korean media quoted a source as saying that LG Energy Solution plans to mass-produce high-voltage medium-nickel NCM batteries by 2025. The energy density of these batteries is expected to reach 670Wh/L, and their stability is more than 30% higher than that of current high-nickel batteries, with a cost reduction of about 8%. Currently, single-crystal materials have solved the problem of low energy density in nickel-5 ternary materials, enabling them to approach the energy density of 811 materials while also ensuring safety and low cost, helping to meet the market's growing demand for lower prices and higher energy density.
