BYD Yuan UP BEV model hits Chilean market

Recently, the BYD Yuan UP (locally named BYD YUAN PRO) officially hit the Chilean market in Santiago, the capital of Chile, at Farellones snow mountain.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- Recently, the BYD Yuan UP (locally named BYD YUAN PRO) officially hit the Chilean market in Santiago, the capital of Chile, at Farellones snow mountain. This marks the ninth model introduced by BYD into this country, further expanding its local vehicle lineup.

The Chile-spec Yuan UP is available in two variants. Built on the e-Platform 3.0, it features a wide-temperature high-efficiency heat pump system capable of operating in temperatures ranging from -30°C to 40°C. In terms of safety, the model incorporates a high-strength body structure with extensive use of high-strength materials. The GL version is equipped with four airbags, while the GS version comes with six airbags, ensuring passenger safety. Both variants also come standard with cruise control (CC) and hill descent control (HDC) features.

Color options for the Yuan UP in Chile include Stylish Grey, Elegant White, and Relaxing Green. The vehicle also boasts a smart cabin system, featuring six-way electric front seats, speakers, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an 8.8-inch instrument panel, and a 10.1-inch or 12.8-inch adaptive rotating floating pad, depending on the trim. Additionally, the 3D panoramic transparent imaging system and precise parking radar distance measurement function facilitate hassle-free parking.

The BYD Yuan UP is equipped with a smart NFC card, allowing for keyless entry. Cristián Garcés, Brand Manager of ASTARA Group, BYD's Chilean distributor, stated, "The smart NFC card will modernize, simplify, and digitize the car experience, setting a new standard for green intelligence in the Chilean electric vehicle market. Other BYD models are also iterating the smart NFC function, building an intelligent platform to serve global customers."
