SGMW starts presale of Wuling Xingguang S model

On Aug. 6, SAIC-GM-Wuling (SGMWannounced it has begun presale of its latest SUV model, the Wuling Xingguang S.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On Aug. 6, SAIC-GM-Wuling ("SGMW"announced it has begun presale of its latest SUV model, the Wuling Xingguang S. The new model will be available in both battery electric vehicle (BEV) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) versions, offering a total of five trim levelsthree for the PHEV and two for the BEV. The pre-sale price ranges from 102,800 yuan to 132,800 yuan, with an official market launch set for the end of August.

The Wuling Xingguang S incorporates the signature design elements of the Xingguang family, featuring a sleek star-wing aesthetic. The front end boasts a closed-off grille and split headlights, both hallmarks of the brand's design language. Notably, the 7-shaped split-type daytime running lights add a sharp touch, mirrored by the similarly shaped taillights, ensuring high recognizability. Customers can choose from four dazzling star colors: Starry White, Interstellar Blue, Starry Gray, and Sparkling Gold.

The model comes standard with full-LED automatic headlights across its entire lineup, including high-beam assist and cornering lights. The low beams have an illumination width of 16 meters, while the high beams can reach up to 160 meters.

As a mid-sized SUV, the Wuling Xingguang S measures 4,745 mm in length, 1,890 mm in width, and 1,680 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,800 mm. It features a spacious five-seat layout.

The interior follows a minimalist design approach, with floating-style instrument and multimedia screens. The steering wheel is a flat-bottom, two-spoke design. High-quality materials are used throughout, with the dashboard and seats wrapped in leather and wood grain finishes, complemented by a dual-tone color scheme to create a cozy, home-like atmosphere.

The Wuling Xingguang S comes with a 15.6-inch central control screen and an 8.8-inch instrument cluster, all powered by the Ling OS intelligent system, which responds to the wake-up command "Hello, Xiaoling." Standard features across all variants include keyless entry, automatic wipers, automatic air conditioning, and electrically adjustable exterior mirrors.

The Wuling Xingguang S is equipped with Level 2 driving assistance features, capable of automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, lane departure warning, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and other functions.

For the PHEV version, the CLTC-rated battery-powered range is either 60 km or 130 km, with a combined range exceeding 1,100 km. The BEV version features a single motor with a maximum power of 150 kW, powered by a 60 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery pack, offering a CLTC range of 510 km.
