Beijing (Gasgoo)- On August 6, the range-extended version (REEV) of the Dongfeng eπ007 sedan rolled off the production line at Dongfeng Motor Passenger Vehicle's Wuhan Plant 2. The model is set to be officially launched and delivered on August 9.

Since the debut of the Dongfeng eπ new energy vehicle brand on November 10 last year, the company has rapidly accelerated its product launches, sales, and channel expansion. Within three months of the brand's launch, Dongfeng eπ introduced the eπ007 electric coupe sedan and the eπ008 family SUV.

Both the eπ007 and eπ008 have seen strong market performance. From March 14 to July 31, Dongfeng eπ sold over 23,000 vehicles in total, significantly boosting brand recognition and product acceptance. In the first half of this year alone, 310 new stores were opened, with plans to reach 500 stores by year-end.

The eπ007 REEV retains its appealing design, smart features, exhilarating driving experience, and robust safety. It is equipped with the Mach Super Range Extending Technology, achieving a combined fuel consumption of just 0.53L/100km under the CLTC cycle and a battery-powered range of 200km, ideal for daily commute. Its Mach Power 1.5L high-efficiency engine boasts a thermal efficiency of 43.5%, with a fuel-electric conversion efficiency of 3.55kWh/L. Even in a low battery state, the vehicle consumes just 4.2L/100km, with a total range of 1,200km, making long-distance travel stress-free.

The eπ007 REEV offers a near-silent driving experience comparable to all-electric vehicles. During full-throttle acceleration with a low battery, noise increase is less than 3 decibels, while idle generation noise is as low as 38 decibels. When the range extender activates, the noise increment is less than 1 decibel, ensuring seamless integration.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
