BYD recently released the official interior images of the 2025 BYD Seal model, marking a significant design refresh.

Shanghai (Gasgoo)- BYD recently released the official interior images of the 2025 BYD Seal model, marking a significant design refresh. Moving forward, the "Seal" name will exclusively refer to the Seal battery electric vehicle models, while the plug-in hybrid electric vehicle models equipped with DM 5.0 technology will be renamed as Seal 07 DM-i. This naming decision follows a public vote conducted earlier.

The 2025 BYD Seal boasts enhancements in technology, intelligence, and performance, with both the 2025 Seal and the Seal 07 DM-i scheduled for market release on August 8.

The new Seal model's interior undergoes substantial changes, adopting a design similar to that of the BYD Qin L, shifting away from its previous sporty aesthetic to a more traditional family-oriented style. The new interior features a high-gloss black center console with elegant decorative textures and a dynamic curved edge design. Despite the overhaul, the interior retains its wraparound design, and classic elements like the gear shift and surrounding layout are preserved. The two-tone interior now includes extensive leather upholstery and introduces a new "Sardine Coral Orange" color option.

The 2025 BYD Seal also introduces a redesigned steering wheel with a matte finish, offering a more sophisticated look. The vehicle continues to feature a large floating center console screen with a more streamlined interface. Ambient lighting adorns the center console and doors, which also sport a faux carbon fiber design. Beneath the center console, there is additional storage space along with a wireless fast-charging option.

Externally, the 2025 BYD Seal retains much of the current model's design, with three notable updates: the addition of a roof-mounted lidar system, indicating the integration of an advanced intelligent driving system; optimized sportier wheel designs; and a new BYD logo on the rear, replacing the "Build Your Dreams" emblem.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
