New Breakthrough in All-Solid-State Lithium-Ion Battery Research by Chinese Scientists" - A research team from the Qingdao Institute of Biomass Energy and Bioprocess Technology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences has recently made a new breakthrough in the field of all-solid-state lithium-ion batteries, potentially bringing the dream of miniaturization and long battery life for electronic devices to reality. This achievement was published in the international academic journal Nature Energy on July 31st. The research team has developed a novel material, a homogenized cathode material (lithium-titanium-germanium-phosphorus-sulfur-selenium), which boasts advantages such as high electrical conductivity, high energy density, and long service life compared to traditional materials. This study provides technical support for the development of high-energy-density, long-life energy storage devices, offering safe and durable power sources for new energy vehicles, energy storage grids, deep-sea and deep-space equipment, among others. It also holds significant importance for the development of new energy storage systems.
