According to the SMM survey, as of August 1, the total zinc ingot inventory in seven regions surveyed by SMM was 151,500 mt, a decrease of 17,600 mt compared to July 25, and a decrease of 7,600 mt compared to July 29, indicating a reduction in domestic inventory. The inventories in Shanghai, Guangdong, and Tianjin continued to decline, mainly due to limited warehouse arrivals during the week and low zinc prices, prompting downstream buyers to restock at lower prices, further reducing warehouse inventories. Overall, inventories in the original three regions decreased by 7,300 mt, and inventories in the seven regions decreased by 7,600 mt.
