[SMM Flash] Purchase Price of Scrap Stainless Steel at a Steel Plant in South China [SMM News Flash] SMM News on July 29: The purchase price of 304 scrap stainless steel (Ni≥8%, Cr≥17%, water yield rate≥96%) at a steel plant in South China is quoted at RMB 9,800 per ton, remaining unchanged from the previous period, equivalent to approximately RMB 1,035 per nickel point for high-nickel pig iron (ex-factory price). The purchase price of 316 scrap stainless steel (Ni≥10%, Mo=2%, water yield rate≥96%) is quoted at RMB 18,500 per ton, an increase of RMB 100 per ton from the previous period, excluding tax, and the reported quantity is pending approval.
