Shanghai (Gasgoo)- On July 25, Chinese electric vehicle maker XPENG officially entered the Singaporean market with a pop-up store opened at the UOB Plaza in the heart of Singapore's Central Business District, according to a post on XPENG's WeChat account.

Mirroring its experience stores in China, XPENG's pop-up store offers test drives of the XPENG G6, allowing visitors to experience the vehicle's spacious comfort, exceptional smart interaction, and innovative intelligent driving system firsthand.

In conjunction with the pop-up store launch, XPENG also commenced the G6's pre-sales for the Singapore market, providing exclusive pre-sale privileges for early adopters. Additionally, UOB's customers can benefit from special discounts during the pre-sale period.

Premium Automobiles, XPENG's distributor in Singapore, is enthusiastic about the launch. "We are thrilled to introduce XPENG to consumers in Singapore," said Mr. Lee Hoe Lone, Managing Director of Premium Automobiles. "XPENG is one of the global leaders in smart electric vehicles, and we are excited to bring its technologically advanced cars to the market."

Regarding the performance of the XPENG G6, it comes standard with an 800V platform, enabling an additional 300 kilometers of range with just a 10-minute charge. The vehicle also includes a 508 TOPS computing power, accelerates from 0 to 100km/h in just 3.9 seconds (for the all-wheel-drive version), and offers a maximum range of up to 755km under the CLTC standard. The integration of front and rear unified aluminum casting further highlights XPENG's advanced technology and market competitiveness.

Before its Singapore debut, XPENG had already made significant market progress in various countries and regions worldwide. Singapore, along with the China's Hong Kong and Macao regions, will be among the first to receive the right-hand drive version of the XPENG G6.

In addition, XPENG plans to open its first official sales store in Singapore in September this year.

World's First Mass-Produced Sodium-Ion Battery Passenger Vehicle Officially Unveiled
On February 5, Changan Automobile unveiled its global sodium-ion battery strategy, and the world's first mass-produced sodium-ion battery passenger vehicle was officially introduced. Test data shows that the vehicle equipped with CATL's sodium-ion battery delivers nearly three times the discharge power compared to conventional lithium iron phosphate vehicles with the same battery capacity under -30°C conditions. In extreme cold environments of -40°C, it maintains over 90% capacity retention, and it can still discharge stably even at the extreme low temperature of -50°C.
